| Where We Started |
|
For many years, users of conveyor systems in Southern Indiana had to call out of state companies to vulcanize most of their conveyor belts. As a result problems arose ranging from crooked splices to splices that simply pulled apart without any warranty. With a vision and an opportunity, late in 1991 Bill and Jeff Russell formed the company Belt Tech Industrial to serve the needs of the expanding coal and power producing companies in the area.

They began operations using home offices and a shop located 10 miles south of Washington, Indiana. Belt Tech grew quickly during the first year, as it came to be known for quality workmanship and products. All the while improving splicing technique, and providing a variety of the latest vulcanizing and belt winding equipment. Incorporation, a larger workforce, and computerized billing have also played a part in our expansion.

With the completion of our new office building and hiring additional support early in 1997, Belt Tech Industrial, Inc. marked the beginning of six years in operation. Since that time, Belt Tech has been certified to splice all major brands of belting and currently distributes a variety of products from manufacturers such as Fenner Dunlop Americas, Superior, Ramsey, Argonics and Perma USA. Belt Tech's customer base now extends throughout Indiana and Kentucky including major accounts with Peabody, Hoosier Energy, Indianapolis Power and Light, and PSI/Duke Energy to name a few. Belt Tech has exceeded its previous years sales revenues each year and expects to continue at this level for years to come. Again in 2007 we expanded and renovated our offices to better serve our customers. We are also proud to announce that our territory now includes Tennessee and Illinois with branches in Nashville and DuQuin respectively.
